Pro Tips For The Best Instant Pot BBQ Meatball Appetizer

Instant Pot BBQ meatballs are one of the most popular appetizers you can make! Not only are they a delicious and unique twist on traditional barbeque flavors, but they’re also easily prepared in an Instant Pot to give you a hands-off cooking experience – making it easy to have them ready for hungry guests in no time at all!

Timing: Make sure that you let the meatballs do a natural release, this way, they are perfectly cooked.

The Best Frozen Meatballs: I have made this recipe for years in the Instant Pot; it’s one of my favorite ways to make this recipe. And since you don’t need any special ingredients, it’s the perfect go-to meal on a busy weeknight. You can use any of your favorite frozen meatballs, and you can also use frozen homemade meatballs.

The Best Sauce To Use: I recommend you use your favorite BBQ sauce for this recipe since it’s the dominant flavor. I included a few of my favorites below.

Can I Use Fresh Or Frozen Meatballs In This Recipe

This recipe will work with either fresh or frozen meatballs. Ensure the meatballs are cold before adding them to the Instant Pot bowl. As they stay together better, they will fall apart if they are at room temperature or warm.

What BBQ Sauce Can I Use In This Recipe

This is a great recipe to use your favorite BBQ Sauce. Today, I used the classic instant Pot Grape Jelly Meatballs Recipe, but here are some of my favorites:

There are many varieties; you can make these sweet, spicy, vinegary, tangy, or whatever you want.

How To Store

Let any leftover meatballs cool to room temperature, then place them in an airtight container. They will last in the refrigerator for 2-3. For best results, reheat these tasty meatballs in the microwave or in a small saucepan, and reheat until warm. The best way is to add some additional sauce on top of the meatballs before you reheat them.
